Promo Whisper it softly, but we’re fast forwarding through the second half of 2021, which means the holiday shopping season – and accompanying hacking season – is not far behind.
But if you want to prepare yourself for the end of year cyber onslaught, you should head to SANS October Singapore 2021.
The SANS Institute will be touching down in the island city state between October 11 and 23, with a 13-strong lineup of courses. And if you signup now, you’ll be rewarded with an early-bird discount. Whichever course you choose to take, you’ll gain both the confidence and the technical skills to protect your organization against cyber-attacks – and go toe to toe with determined attackers if necessary.
The lineup includes a thoroughly revamped Security Essentials – Network, Endpoint and Cloud course. This features over 70 per cent new content, and starts with the premise that every organization will be targeted and must be prepared for eventual compromise. So, as well as learning how to defend your systems, you’ll learn how to detect attackers, and how to respond and remediate attacks.
Other courses will take you deep into topics such as Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits and Incident Handling, Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, and SIEM with Tactical Analytics.
Building and Leading Security Operations Centers with John Hubbard will be taught in person. All other courses will be available through SANS’s interactive online training platform Live Online, or as an in-person live-stream, giving you the option of attending the venue, to be taught by a remote instructor while receiving onsite support from highly qualified teaching assistants.
While for some just learning the material is enough, several of the courses align with GIAC certifications. And every attendee will have the chance to apply their freshly minted skills in a NetWars tournament, working through a series of challenges and interactive learning scenarios with compelling integrated story lines.
All this, and that early bird discount, if you book by August 25. But be warned, some courses are already sold out or near full. So, to secure your spot, head here and register now.
