Sponsored Post Protecting sensitive data and mission critical applications spread across multiple on- and off-prem cloud environments and different service providers is a tough gig for busy security professionals. So a chance to hear from experts and peers on how best to stop hackers from making hay will be welcome.
The SANS 2022 Cloud Security Exchange on Thursday 25th August aims to do just that, providing an online forum for cloud providers, end user organisations and consultants to put their heads together and build better defenses for their cloud workloads.
Attendants will hear technical security leaders from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure and others share their perspectives on building effective cloud security programs. Dr. Anton Chuvakin, Head of Solution Strategy at Google Cloud, will take the stage to explore best practices for implementing strong security capabilities within the Google Cloud Platform as DevOps teams move into building complex, interconnected applications using native technologies built by cloud providers themselves.
He will be followed by Dr. Roberto Bamberger, Senior Principal Consultant at Microsoft, who will offer advice on how best to stop hackers gaining unauthorised access to Azure Active Directory and the Azure Platform by circumventing perimeter based security controls.
Later on Diana Kelly and Ed Moyle, co-founders of cybersecurity consultancy firm SecurityCurve, will moderate a panel featuring both speakers alongside SANS instructors Brandon Evans and AJ Yawn. The session will talk about the most common cloud security vulnerabilities they have observed in 2022 and advise on the best way to mitigate them.
